Affiliate Marketing through Word of Mouth Method
Word-of-mouth affiliate marketing is one of the most trusted and effective ways to promote products because people rely on recommendations from friends, family and influencers they trust. When they can’t get these recommendations and reviews, most people turn to the internet and that’s where we come in. We’re the friendly strangers on the internet who recommend products. Now I’m going to show you how to find these opportunities.
Table Of Content
These methods can make you a huge amount of money. If you tweak them slightly and find new niches, they can be very lucrative. They have made me myself $$,$$$.
I will be reposting content from an e-book I wrote a few years ago, so some of the screenshots might show an older date. Nevertheless, this method works forever, and I still use it for advertising purposes.
How it All Started
I did a lot of affiliate marketing. At first, I felt helpless because nothing seemed to work. I think many of you have tried affiliate marketing without much success and decided to give up. However, I didn’t want to give up. I experimented with paid advertisements and social media, and then I started creating websites. That’s where I made my first $20 affiliate sale! After a while, I started using Reddit and Quora. I experimented with a few niches, promoting web hosting, VPNs, and Fiverr. I did this for three hours every day for four days, then checked the results and asked myself again what on earth I had done wrong. So I gave up. A few months later, when I went to the Fiverr affiliate dashboard to send someone an affiliate link, I discovered that I had earned $135 in commissions! I was baffled and excited, so I instantly went to the Namecheap ShareASale dashboard, where I found another $190 in revenue!

I earned $325 in commissions for 12 hours of work, and as you can see from the graph, sales came in every few months on Fiverr. I also had two sales for hosting on ShareaSale. Now, if I were to work 12 hours a day for the entire month, that would earn me over $9,000 in commissions in the months to come. And if you did it for six months? The sky would be the limit. You’d have a pretty solid passive income for years, unless something happens to Reddit or Quora, which is unlikely given the size of these platforms.

Method 1 – SEO Manipulation
Much discussion revolves around the idea of Reddit acting as a parasite. The process involves either creating a post or a subreddit. Then, either the post or the subreddit is optimized for a specific keyword through backlinks. There’s one crucial point though: For many valuable keywords, Reddit is already well positioned. This essentially means: You can take advantage of an already highly ranked post to drive traffic without having to create or invest in SEO for it. In this approach, you use the post as a kind of opportunistic tool without having been the original creator of the post or having invested in its SEO.
For those of you who don’t know Parasite is an SEO Technique to rank your websites on search engines.
3 Ways you can get Traffic via Reddit Posts
1 – If a Reddit post has less than 10 comments but still ranks there are 80% it will still be read so you don’t have to do anything other than post the comment.
2 – You can either use SMM Panels, Microworker platforms or your other accounts to upvote your comment, i will show you best ways to do this in few pages.
3 – Reply to a top-rated comment if the post is really popular and top-rated comment doesn’t haves many replies, this saves you a lot of time and hustle.
Why is this effective? Reddit is used by hundreds of millions of people if not a few billions, and when someone searches for something they’d rather have opinions from real people than some stupid blogs that are just trying to sell you something. This is why they would search something like “Best web hosting Reddit” instead of just “Best web hosting”, the difference is huge, at first search you will get 4 Reddit post results ranking first at second some reviews and advertisements. This is where you come in with your comments.
How to Find the Right Keywords?
You can do this for basically any niche, people are looking for anything, so you should register with several big affiliate programs/CPA companies, I recommend you Share a Sale, CJ, Temu/AliExpress, Maxbounty, Fiverr or even better advertise your own products.
1 – Decide what you want to advertise. I recommend advertising a variety of products, as this will allow you to identify the most profitable niches after six months. You can then focus on those that earn you the most money. The possibilities are endless: you can advertise services via Fiverr, furniture, gardening and computer products via AliExpress. You could also advertise anime figures, web hosting companies via their own affiliate programmes, VPNs, and courses via Skillshare or Udemy. You could also advertise copywriting, CV writing, website development, and design services via Fiverr. Those are just a few ideas, but you can basically advertise an unlimited amount of stuff. For this example, let’s advertise something random, like chairs.
Head to Google Ads Keyword Planner and create account it’s quite simple:

Now i won’t search for normal chairs, let’s go for gaming chairs as reddit has younger user base, full of gamers hence i think there will be more posts and more search for gaming chairs.
I will put those keywords into the planner: Gaming chairs Reddit, best gaming chairs reddit, which gaming chair to buy reddit.
I will at the same time look for some of the best gaming chairs out there and put them into planner too.

I’ve randomly searched Secret Lab chair on Aliexpress and found one chair that we can promote, it costs 252$ on Aliexpress. Let’s say we get only a 9% basic commission rate, which means we will get somewhere around 22.5$ per one chair sold. Everyone knows that Aliexpress is also cheaper than most sites out there so that’s a win win as well.

Now I will look at all those 378 keywords, I won’t bother for keywords with less than 100 searches per month so as to not waste time when I can just focus on other products after I finish with chairs. Also, look for only keywords that have Reddit in them.

Now most of times you will get 4 results like this:

Now, create a .txt file and copy the links that appear when you search for keywords on Google. Then go back to Keywords Planner and look for the results of the top 100 most-searched keywords.

I’d usually copy links for top 10 results, I would ignore advert posts as they’re usually just posts advertising a service so there isn’t much worth in commenting on them, these guys are literally doing Parasite SEO that we mentioned.

This will automatically copy the link for you, then you just have to paste it to .txt file, this way you don’t have to open a tab. Additionally, you can hire a VA to do this for you or hire someone to create automation that does this, but it will not filter ads.
While searching the links, I found out that office chairs are quite popular among Reddit users. That could be something else I can try if it receives a lot of Google visits. Now you have collected enough links for your product, copy the list and search Google for ‘Duplicate link remover from list’ or ‘Remove duplicate lines from a list’. You will find many websites offering this service, which is useful for avoiding the same posts appearing several times in the list.

Reddit has some strange settings where posts are archived after six months. As far as I know, subreddit admins can turn these settings on or off, but if a post is archived, no one can comment on it anymore and the comments are locked. Another thing that can happen is that moderators lock the thread, but that happens less often. So, you can now hire a VA, check the posts yourself or create an automation that checks if posts are archived or locked, as it takes a few hours if the lists contain hundreds of posts.

Now that you have a list of posts to comment on, it’s time to consider the technical aspects. You should have at least 5 Reddit accounts with 500+ Karma, you can get 1 account on forums like PlayerUp and AccsMarket, you shouldn’t pay more than 3-10$ per 500+ Karma account, the more karma the account has the higher chances it will never get banned by their systems.
Now don’t be dumb to log in to all 5 accounts via your own computer, you will have to install an anti-detect browser and proxies or VPN.
For Anti Detect browser I can recommend Incogniton, for free you can set up to 10 profiles which is more than enough for newbies.
You should install Incogniton, in their knowledge center you can learn and see how it’s set up, but to simply put it up what they’re used for is having several browsers on your computer while each looks like it’s a diffirent computer, while if you’d just use chrome and mozilla for example without proper set ups it would be easy for social networks to mark you as a spammer and ban your accounts, this is why we use anti detect browsers to make it look like we are several diffirent people and hence comment & post from several accounts as posting too many comments and posts from one account per day will just get them suspended.

Second thing you will need is either proxies for your profiles or VPn, I use proxies as it’s just more secure in my opinion, I use Instant Proxies, so 10 of them cost me only 10$ per month.
You could also just use a free vpn or some paid one for 2-3$ just keep in mind to re-connect it to diffirent location every time you connect to a diffirent profile, a con with using vpn and not proxies is that you can’t work on several profiles at once.
I use Namecheap’s VPN. It’s really cheap and fast enough for my needs. It’s much more secure than free VPNs.

This is a small guide on how to create anti-detect browser profiles so every profile is like a second computer, so even though you use one computer it looks like you are using 5 computers and is 5 diffirent people.
Now that you’ve set up your accounts for commenting it’s time to start commenting, now I will give you a few examples of comments I would make, but in general, you just need to make your comments sound as natural and non-advertising as possible, Redditors are weird species of humans who will lash on you if you try to sell something or make money for some reason, so they hate advertisements of any sort.

Top comment of one of the post and it doesn’t even haves any reply. Here’s an example of what you can write, but as long as your English is decent and you have even a bit of copy writing skills you can do it.
“I’ve been into gaming chairs for a while now, and I totally get that they’re not for everyone. Personally, I’ve had a Secretlab chair for about a year and it’s been a game-changer for me. The lumbar support and adjustable armrests have really made long gaming sessions much more comfortable.”
“That being said, it’s all about finding what works best for you. If the gaming chair aesthetic isn’t your thing, you might want to check out some office chairs like the Sayl or Mirra 2. They’re known for their ergonomic design and you can often find good deals on them if you keep an eye out.”
Those are just two that Chat GPT gave me, as you can in most case ask it to create you pretty solid comments:

A lot of times I’d use ChatGPT to come up with good comments, with the one it gave me just now I can promote several chairs at once. Sayl and Mirra 2, most of the products online have affiliate programs to bank more money. The message ChatGPT wrote, I will probably edit few parts to my liking.
A quick Google search finds us a store selling both chairs and the same store offers both chairs. Now you can decide if you want to spend time registering for it to promote all 3 chairs or edit the message to promote only the Secretlabs chair.

You can copy the comment, then paraphrase it so that you can use it several times if you like it.
Go to Deepl Rewrite and make a few versions of it to use it so that every time you post it it would look like a different message so that Reddit doesn’t find out it’s the same accounts and ban them.
In case you can’t just snipe other people comments and there’s too many comments for your own to be on top without any work, you will need up-votes.
You can use sites like Microworkers to get people from 3rd world countries to up-vote your comments for cheap, there are simple guides on their site on how to set up campaigns and how the site works.
I recommend you write at most 5 comments per day per account so 25 comments per day with 5 accounts, make sure to post them like a real human which means after you post your comment you could up-vote the post, go to home page of reddit, scroll it for minute or two, open some post, stuff that real people would do instead of just comment.
So when you finish creating 25 comments or so, make a microworkers campaign, pay 10 people 0,15-0,30$ to upvote all 25 comments, what you would do is put links of the posts themselves instead of the links of your comments in the campaign, and juts tell them the username of your account, so that they would scroll the post find your comment and up-vote it as it looks way more natural than same 10 people opening all your 25 comments links and up-voting them, this will look suspcious in reddit spam filters.
Top 10 List Method
This is also on Reddit. You can create a post on your Reddit profile, for example, ‘Top 10 TVs of 2025’. Go to Google and find ten good new TVs. Then go to Amazon Associates, Temu, AliExpress, etc. and get affiliate links for them. Make that top 10 post on Reddit. Make sure the post doesn’t look like an affiliate or sales post. Make it look like an honest recommendation. Then you can go to Reddit posts where people are looking for a good new TV and link to your post in your comment. This method is good because links from outside Reddit can often be removed by Reddit or subreddit filters, whereas Reddit on-site links almost never are. Just make sure your post gets a lot of upvotes, and write a few comments that look real using your own accounts — some complaining and some recommending — to make it look entirely real.
Comment Edit – Safe Advertising
So if you are going to comment on someone’s post or reply to someone’s comment they will receive a notification and they might report your comment which might lead to a ban from that specific subreddit or even Reddit if too many report you. This is why you can post a comment without any links first then after a day or two edit it with the links, this way you avoid their reports as they won’t receive notifications for your edits.
Live Commentary Method
With this method we will use platforms like Syften that are used to track when someone mentions your brand on social media, but we are going to use it for diffirent stuff, we are going to track keywords that if someone posts we get notification, through entire reddit. When we receive notification that someone commented with our keyword we are going to check and see if we can reply to them, and it’s better to be done as fast as possible, as with this method we capture them on live.
There are few other softwares, though Syften is the highest quality one with a solid price.

Here’s Syften documetation, so that you can understand more how it works.
However, let me explain how it works:

For example i got this post few minutes ago now i can post a comment like:
As for the price, $291 is a great deal compared to the usual $581. It’s not uncommon for companies to have ‘perma-sales’ to attract buyers. In my opinion, it’s a fair price for the quality and comfort you’re getting. I’ve found it a bit cheaper here for you so if you want check it out.

Check this comment that i got notification for because i har Herman Miller in filters.
Here we can promote the Secretlab chair that we found for 252$, we can say how good it is and that we are using it and that we found it for only 252$ on AliExpress and then link it there.
You can go and with a few other accounts of yours upvote your reply to their comments.
Method Functionality
I’ve shown you how to do this on Reddit, but you can do it everywhere: on Facebook, on forums, in chats. If you put your mind to it, you won’t even have to tweak the method much. If you don’t give up and do it properly, you’ll start seeing results in a month or two.
