How to Do Parasite SEO and Make Money from It
Parasite SEO involves publishing an article on an established, highauthority external site to rank on search engines. This gives you the benefit of the host’s high traffic, boosting your chances for leads and successful conversions. These high DR websites are those that have a lot of authority and trust in the eyes of Google.
Table Of Content
This is why many people use those sites to rank their advertisements, affiliate links, promo codes and so on, most popular parasites like Google Docs, Medium, Blogger, Quora and Reddit you’ve probably seen in your search results when you searched for something in the past.
How to Find Good Parasite Websites
Most guides, whether free or paid, will simply provide a list of the most popular parasite SEO websites. Later on, we will also provide an even better list. But before that, we will teach you something that none of those guides will: how to find your own parasite SEO websites.
So let’s say you’re an owner of a sport bookie or want to advertise a bookie or affiliate market it, let’s go to google ad keywords, let’s search “best betting websites” on google ad keywords:

It will show us the keywords that people are searching for on Google that are similar to our own keywords. This will give us ideas for keywords to include in our articles. Before doing that, however, we will use them to check if anyone is already using parasite SEO on them.
But while I’m writing this, I should mention that there are two types of parasites:
There are paid and free parasites. Paid parasites are websites such as Forbes, the BBC and CoinTelegraph, which are some of the biggest and can explain you what paid parasites are. Free ones are Reddit, Medium and Google Docs and so on.

As you can see, the first website is a paid parasite SEO post. The last time I spoke to someone who was a writer on Cointelegraph, they were selling guest posts for $500 per article. This article cost $500, but it probably already made that money back in the seven days it’s up alone.
After 6-7 results there’s another Reddit parasite:

But the best way to find parasite seo targets is to use new google function:

Go to the heinous forum tab, as it will give you a full list of all the parasites that everyone else has made. Each of these is probably ranking for tens, if not hundreds, of smaller keywords alongside the main keyword:

While not all of them are parasites, around 80 per cent of the sites you find here are. Your next step is to open all of those forums, create accounts, and avoid making stupid mistakes right away. When it comes to free parasites, there are sites like Medium where you aren’t interacting with other people, and sites where you are, like forums, Reddit, and some social media sites. On the latter, where you have to interact with other people, you will have to act like a human and not a spammer or advertiser. Imagine you’re browsing a hobby community and you see a spammer or advertiser; you’ll hate them, so put yourself in the shoes of the real visitors to those websites to ensure your accounts last for years and don’t get banned.
Now, you can simply use Notepad to collect links to all the websites that you might be able to use as parasites in the future. They don’t have to be the highest-authority sites, as many people claim. Those websites have their disadvantages, too.
After making your list of forums and other community platforms that you will use as parasites, read their rules, create accounts and interact genuinely with these communities for at least 7 days, writing 30+ messages/posts on those platforms in that time. This is not a lot, as it’s less than 5 replies daily on each platform. You should do this because you shouldn’t use your accounts like bombs, as other parasite SEO marketers do. They spam post and advertise on them, getting banned in months, if not weeks, with all their work deleted and minimal profits. Instead, we build accounts that will stay there for years. We will generate traffic from both those websites and Google for years, maximising your profits.
This looks more like community building, but it’s much better. Make sure that, regardless of whether it’s forums, Medium or other such websites, your articles don’t look like advertisements and provide a lot of value. If your posts/articles have these two qualities, they won’t be removed or banned by those forums and platforms, and readers who find them through Google will be far less suspicious that they’re advertisements.

How to Monetize Them
Well, if you don’t use Parasite SEO to rank advertisements for your websites or products, then you’ll be doing affiliate marketing. For example, I usually create content such as “Top 5 websites to read manga” for my manga website, or reviews of competitors’ products or services, recommending my own while criticising theirs.
Regardless of how you will use it, let’s show you how to find long-tail keywords so you can see what you will rank for.
Method Intent Hacking
Before you write a single line of content, you need a keyword that’s vulnerable. Not just “low competition.” Vulnerable.
The ideal keyword has 3 things:
- Buyer intent (people want to spend money)
- Weak competition (no real authority sites targeting it well)
- Obscure phrasing (Google’s unsure what the searcher wants)
Here’s how to find them:
We will be doing autocomplete drilling. This is when you search for something on Google, YouTube, Amazon, Reddit, or wherever, and it shows you other phrases that other people have searched for. For example:

We will, for this example say that our product is a gaming chair, let’s go to Amazon and type Gaming chair:

Good, but let’s tweak it further. It seems that, alongside the colours and sizes, adding ‘for’ will suffice.

Let’s go to Google Ads planner to see how many people search for this and what kind of competition we have for this keyword, alongside that Google Ads will give us other keyword recommendations.

So why am I using Google Ads instead of paid services like Ahrefs? It’s because it shows you whether there’s competition or not. Even though that tab is for paid ad competition, if a lot of people are advertising for those keywords, a lot of people will be trying to rank for them as well. This means we can just scroll until we find keywords with low or medium competition.

I’ve checked most of them and over half of them were free without competition as you can see on picture above.
These keywords didn’t generate much traffic in this specific example. However, if you created a post for each of the 50 keywords, it would take you a whole day. If you ranked for half of those keywords, you would rank for 25 keywords, plus probably additional ones. But let’s say you only ranked for one keyword each post, and on average 50 people searched for it. That would mean you’d have an additional 1,250 visitors per month, which is great.
If you can’t find any keywords with medium or low competition, you can also fight keywords that have competition. However, your chances of ranking up, especially without backlinks, will not be high.
This is one of the Parasite SEO projects I’ve done
Some of you might know that I’ve sold e-books in the past. One of the most effective ways I promoted my e-book was by creating a free version that was 50% as valuable as the paid version. This encouraged people to find value in it, and I made sure that they believed they needed something in the paid version of the e-book to be even more inclined to buy it. For example, I showed them a method of automatically creating Telegram accounts, and I told them that the paid version included a method of automatically creating them for free, which was a significant difference. Since I had already provided value and earned their trust, it was much easier to convert them.
But the way I found people to read the e-book in the first place was through Parasite SEO. When I had finished creating the free e-book, I uploaded it to three PDF platforms I mentioned earlier, Gumroad, Twitter and a few Facebook groups and Reddit subreddits. I also uploaded it to a few sales websites, such as Amazon KDP. I made the names similar to those of other e-books and courses in the same niche, in order to target their rankings and people searching for them. This way, I gained free traffic, and the people were already ready to purchase, so they were perfect targets. I would even paraphrase it, change the design slightly, and then re-upload it, putting it on sale for free on all those platforms again, but from different profiles and targeting different keywords. This way, I would get people from search engines and from all those platforms naturally.
Even though Parasite SEO is supposed to get you clicks from Google rankings, I have always preferred platforms that can also generate clicks and leads, such as YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, Gumroad, GitHub and Twitter. Although these platforms are not as effective as parasites, they can still generate traffic even if the page’s Google ranking drops in the future.
Improvising
If you want to get really good at Parasite SEO, finding your own sites and techniques that work can be highly profitable. You can also make a really good profit by putting your own twist on things, just like I did with e-book sites.
