How to Start Selling Digital Products in Less than a Week
The digital products market is growing at around 30% CAGR (compound annual growth rate) per year, which means it is constantly expanding and is projected to exceed $6.8 trillion by 2025.
Table Of Content
Now, there are literally thousands of digital products that you could create, ranging from e-books to game items to anything else that is digital(online).
Some take a lot of time to make, while others don’t. The same applies to big and small markets, each with their own pros and cons.
The four biggest and most important niches:
- Wealth (financial success and material possessions)
- Health (physical and mental well-being)
- Hobbies (leisure, passions, and personal interests)
- Relationships (love, family, friendships, and social connections)
Those 4 will never get out of sales for as long as money and health problems exists, and they will exist in one way or another forever same as with hobbies and relationships.
These four are the biggest and most important niches when it comes to solving people’s problems. Your product should either save people time or solve their problems, worries or anything else they need solving.
Now that problem can be literally anything, for example for hobbies, there are a lot of western people playing a game called VR Chat, so here’s a guy making hundreds of thousands of dollars just selling them skins for that game:

Over 1250+ people rated it, that means that at least that many people bought it for 35$, while usually only 1 in 5 people rate products that they bought so you can guess how many actuall customers he had.
Of course to create something like this design you need to be actual designer or to hire someone who knows how to design them.
In this guide I am not going to show you how to advertise or actually sell those products but the best ones that you can create fast and that have solid demand on top of showing you where you can sell them.
E-Books
E-Books can never get saturated, it’s one of the niches that have such a huge demand that as long as your marketing is good you will always get sales.
I’ve personally made over $50,000 selling them. This is such a huge niche with an unlimited amount of options. I will therefore write to you about my experience and the fastest and most efficient course of action. Also I’ve already made a guide on selling E-Books on Amazon so check it out, that guide will show you how to make E-Books in less than a week.
First of all, what is your level of knowledge about the subject you want to write about? If not, even with AI, your quality will be mediocre at best. Now, you don’t need quality in half of the cases, but in the other half, you do.
In the best cases, where you have built a reputation on social networks such as Instagram or Reddit, or on forums, where people are lining up to purchase your products or knowledge because you have provided lots of value for free, you have to provide amazing quality when selling. If they are satisfied, you will be able to create a steady stream of income by selling to those people repeatedly without having to look for new customers. This is why growing a following puts you ahead of those who don’t. It can be as simple as writing on subreddits related to your niche and giving advice. Sometimes you can also promote your products in these posts. A lot of people will visit your profile at these times. The more free stuff you provide and the more people you help, the more sales you will have.
What I recommend is creating free products that are 70% as good as the paid ones. This way, you can share those free products in as many places as possible. In this case, we could create a free e-book and share it on a variety of forums related to your niche, Facebook ,Reddit and so on. We could also use Gumroad and such product sites and then Microworkers to generate downloads, which would lead to recommendations of your product on those platforms since it’s free. You can grow your audience through these free e-books while also generating sales, so they serve a great purpose in marketing your product more easily.
Canva, Notion, Ai Promts and such templates

For example those 4 notion template products on etsy all together made hundreds of thosuands of dollars, so there will always be market for such templates.

I had a friend who created a PLR box containing thousands of different templates for just 20 or 30 dollars. It’s a great resource for anyone looking to start selling templates, prompts and similar products. If I can find the link, I’ll update the post with it here.
There are hundred of marketplaces where you can post your sales threads, most of them you can find with one simple google search, I might make a comprehensive guide on all the marketplaces, forums and other websites you can sell on If I do, I will update it here.
WordPress Themes and Plugins
Skip this one if you don’t know how to code, because what I’m recommending here requires coding skills.
Nearly half of all websites on the internet are built on WordPress. That’s a massive, never-ending stream of people who need functionality and design. They aren’t all developers; most just want a plug-and-play solution to their problem.
Here’s how you can create themes and plugins quickly in 2025, first thing that you need to know:
WordPress is released under the GPL (General Public License). This license is “viral,” meaning any software that is built from and derives from WordPress must also carry the GPL license.
This includes almost all themes and plugins.
Which means you can find old, good quality plugins and themes that sold well but got abandoned, you download nulled versions somewhere like Babiato, then you can just re-design them a bit, update versions and code a bit, you can use ai for all of this to finish it in few hours, you can use ai like Github Copilot.
Now you re-design it which is easy and fast, just change some colors and phrases, update the code with some bug fixes and new versions of wordpress and you’re good to go.
Then you can sell them on Codecanyon and Themeforest where you’d find old themes and plugins in first place.

A simple player for wordpress, almost 1,200 sales for 21$, that’s over 25,000$ in sales, juts cut the fees so it’s more or less around 10-15,000$ revenue, when is the last time he updated this plugin, what do you think?

For the last two years, he has been earning thousands of dollars in passive income without doing any work. This is just one example and doesn’t mean yours will be as successful, but if you create attractive landing pages on Codecanyon and update them every 3–6 months with minor changes, you could probably generate a reliable passive income. However, the first few sales are always the most challenging.
Where to sell and how to decide what to sell
Most of those you can sell on Gumroad, Etsy, your own sites with LemonSqueezy or Stripe, The Prompt Base, Designmodo, UI8, Creative Market and so on, few google searches will give you results for all the best websites where you can compete for sales.
The better you understand your customers’ pain points (the reasons why they buy your product), the more sales you will have. The way you present the pain point and the solution is also an important factor. Your product could be terrible, but people will still buy it if your presentation is good. However, you will then have to deal with negative reviews, so it’s better to have a good product as you will want to sell to those same people again in the future.
I recommend reading this article, as it can help you decide what to sell. Most products that are worth selling take more time to create, but I believe these four are still worth selling and don’t take much time to create.
